Admissions, Attendance and Welfare Officer

Salary:  Grade 6 – spine point 18-20 (£32,925-£33,957)

Contract:  Monday to Friday.  Hours are 35 hours per week, term time, plus 2 weeks, half hour unpaid lunch break, including staff training days

We offer exciting and creative learning opportunities.  We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Admissions, Attendance and Welfare Officer.

 

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Responsible and accountable for the management, efficiency and administration of the school’s admissions, attendance and welfare of our pupils
  • Maintain manual and computerised pupil data using the school’s chosen management information system for school admissions and attendance
  • Assist with marketing and promotion of the school
  • Responsible officer for Nursery admissions, including issuing half termly invoices for fees
  • Provide tours to prospective parents, outside of Open days.
  • Promote good attendance with pupils and families including possible home visits when required
  • To oversee the recording and collation of evidence of pupil absences and punctuality in line with the schools safeguarding procedures
  • Work with the Inclusion Lead and Education Welfare Officer in all aspects of attendance

 

We are looking for an Admissions, Attendance and Welfare Officer who has:

  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification or experience in the relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in working in a school environment relating to the post requirements, desirable
  • A high level of personal organisation
  • Excellent English/Mathematics skills
  • Effective use of specialist ICT packages, e.g. Sims, Parentpay, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively in dealing with conflicting demands
  • Ability to relate well to staff, parents and the school community

Learning Support Assistant

Early years/KS1

We require a Learning Support Assistant to work in our diverse, caring and popular three form entry community school.

We are looking for a creative, motivated and excellent Learning Support Assistant who would relish the opportunity to join our innovative, inclusive team.

Applicants are required to demonstrate:

  • previous experience working with primary age children and a willingness to work across the school;
  • good Literacy and Numeracy skills, relevant experience or at least NVQ Level 2 qualifications/ equivalent;
  • the ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities within a classroom and a school;
  • strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude, reflective and with a willingness to improve their practice;
  • able to build strong working relationships with all members of the school community.

Grade 2 (spine point 3-5) (full time £26,238-£27,030) pro rata
